Our brains are hard-wired for story. But what other factors influence how we view, experience, and share the world around us? This session will explore some of the hidden factors that shape our internal and external narratives, including culture, power, privilege, and bias.

About Faith Minnich Kjesbo

Faith Minnich Kjesbo joined Avera in 2019 and currently serves as Manager of Formation and Cultural Competence with Avera Health, leading and promoting a culture of learning, development and belonging that is founded in and reflective of Avera’s Catholic identity, mission and values.
Prior to moving to South Dakota from Pennsylvania in January 2019, Faith spent 17 years as a diversity educator and administrator at a faith-based university of liberal arts and applied sciences, where she provided leadership to International Student Programs, Multicultural Programs, and Off-Campus Programs. She has traveled to over 20 countries and has also had the privilege of teaching a variety of courses, including a three-week cross-cultural course to rural Zambia titled Healthcare in the Developing World.
Faith is a trained systems therapist who is passionate about holistic organizational, team, and individual growth and development, focused on creating safe and brave spaces and opportunities for learning and transformation. Faith is certified in Cultural Intelligence (CQ®), as well as Everything DiSC Workplace® and serves on the Education Committee of Pathways to Inclusive & Equitable Workplaces. She and her partner, Jordan, and their children Hazel and Henry, live in Sioux Falls, SD.
